Useful Contacts | Terms & Conditions | Scorrier House Contact Details We now offer bedrooms for guests. Both properties adjoin Scorrier House each property is for exclusive use. STABLE HOUSE It comprises five en suite bedrooms. One of these is downstairs and is suitable . Downstairs there is a large Kitchen / Dining Area and a Sitting Room with TV . It has recently been completely renovated and everything has been done to the highest standard and finished and furnished to the highest of standards. We provide a breakfast pack which will comprise of cereals, bread, butter, jams and tea and coffee on a do it yourself basis. The charge for this will be £95 per night per room payable in full in advance. BUTLERS COTTAGE It has one double and one twin bedded room, sitting room with TV and a kitchen.. It also has a small garden. The breakfast will be on the same basis as Stable House. Here again it is finished and furnished to the highest of standards. The charge for this will be £190 per night for the two rooms payable in full in advance. We are afraid that we cannot accept pets in either property. CATERERS
Contract between Scorrier House (House) and the Client The house agrees to rent the following rooms to the Client. Outer Hall, Grand Hall, Drawing Room, Conservatory, Blue Room, Kitchen Preparation Room, Grounds and Gardens surrounding the House and Guest Bedroom Suite. Due the Historic Nature of this Grade 2 listed house there are some rules to maintain its fabric. We would be grateful if you could find time to read this. Payment Terms 1 If the Event is booked within a year the client will pay 50% of the facility fee within seven days of the booking. If the Event is booked more than a year ahead 10% is required on booking within seven days and a further 40% a year beforehand. In all cases the booking cannot be confirmed until the deposits has been paid. As far as payment is concerned we do not have facilities for Credit or Debit Cards You can either pay direct into our Bank account we will happily give you details or by cheque. We would prefer not to be paid in cash. The House reserves the right to alter prices at any time (this will not effect confirmed bookings). 2. The balance 50% has to be paid at least one month before if it is not paid by the due date the house has the right to cancel the booking. 3. If the Event is cancelled by the client the deposit will be forfeited in full. However the House will try to relet the day cancelled. If it is successful in reletting the day the deposit will be returned less any expenses incurred. If the Wedding is postponed the House will honour the booking. If that is the case in all our interests we would like to know as soon as possible. If there is any price difference in the meantime the client will be liable for that in addition. 4. If a marquee is being used we would be grateful to know the contractor is so that we can get in touch with them as regards setting up. 5 The opening and closing times for the house and grounds are up until 6.30pm the day before. 6.Clients will be responsible for any damage caused by their Guests. The House also accepts no responsibility for any damage or any losses to Guests property however caused. 7. Florists string is the only material to be used on the Bannisters. No sticky tape or wire to be used anywhere in the house. 8 All music must cease by Midnight and Guests should have left by about 12.30am. If clients wish to carry on after with the music after Midnight there will be a surcharge of £250 per hour or part. We would be grateful if they wish to continue after this time if they could give the advance house notice so that as a matter of courtesy we could let neighbours know. 9. There is absolutely no smoking in the House and Conservatory, there will be sand buckets placed outside. 10. The Swimming Pool Garden is only available for pre reception drinks but otherwise it will be locked. The client is totally responsible for guests in this respect due to the risks of Swimming Pools. 11 Fireworks may only be used by prior approval of the House and only by an approved Contractor. If you want to have Fireworks we would require prior notice. 12 Hot Air balloons may not be used under any circumstances 13. No confetti is to be used either outside, inside or on the tables with the exception of Rose Petals that are bio degradable because any other confetti is very difficult to clear up. We would request that NO THIN HEELS OR SHARP POINTED HEELS to be worn as they severely damage the old wood floors. A note in the invitations is what is normally done. 14 If any guests that may become drunk and unruly they will be asked to leave the premises.15. The Client must ensure that the Caterers are responsible for clearing away all food, drink, catering utensils and rubbish on the night from the Main Rooms in the House. The Kitchen can be cleared either on the night or between 9am and 12noon the following day All empty bottles and rubbish must be removed from the premises as the house does not have facilities to store such items and the caterers must be informed as such. If this is inconvenient please get in touch with us 16. The house will responsible for cleaning the rooms after the Event. 17..All hire equipment and marquees (if used) must be removed the first working day following the event unless otherwise arranged with the house. 18. A list of suppliers is also enclosed. and they all known to the house. However the house has no commercial ties to them and the list is regulary updated. The Client is free to use who they want whether they are on the list or not. The Suppliers are listed in no order of preference 19. Stable House and Butlers Cottage are available for your Guests use. Full details can be found on the enclosed sheet. We also have a list of Guest Houses and Hotels. If you need further information on them please get in touch with us. 20. Guests are welcome to leave their cars overnight in the Car Park but not in front of the house at their own risk. 21. If Clients are holding a Wedding Ceremony no Food or Drink is allowed to be served for one hour before. This is laid down in Statute and not by ourselves. Food and Drink can be served afterwards as normally. 23. Clients are free to buy their drink from whatever source they wish the house does not charge corkage. 24. If Clients wish to run a Pay Bar to sell alcohol they must apply in advance for a Local Authority Licence and we must be informed. This does not apply if alcohol is not being sold. Weddings It is suggested that if possible bands should set up before the wedding commences. If the Bridge and Groom require use of the Guest Bedroom Suite, they will be issued with a key and the room should be kept locked throughout the event.House supplies Exclusive use of Outer Hall, Grand Hall, Drawing Room, Conservatory, Blueroom and stairs Not Supplied (the Caterer should arrange the items marked*) * China* Cutlery * Round Tables * Chairs above 100 * Linen Glasses (Most Wine Merchants and Supermarkets provide free glasses when you buy from them)
