We also have accommodation for your guests. We have FIVE ENSUITE ROOMS in STABLE HOUSE and TWO ROOMS in BUTLERS COTTAGE. Both adjoin Scorrier House. They are each for your exclusive use. You can either rent them per room or each property individually . We are happy for guests to stay longer by arrangement than the usual one or two or three nights.
Both properties have a fully equipped kitchen & dining area and sitting room with TV. They have been recently done up to the highest standards. Butlers Cottage has a shared bathroom at present. Butlers Cottage has a small garden which can be shared if both properties are taken.
PRICES
STABLE HOUSE - £ 105 per room per night
BUTLERS COTTAGE - £95 per room per night
You can enter the properties at 4pm and vacate by 11am.
`We leave entirely to you as to what guests you wish to stay here.
All charges have to be paid in advance. Either by Credit Card, Debit Card (there is a 1.75% surcharge for Credit Cards but no charge for Debit Cards), by cheque with a bank card or direct transfer into our bank.
We are afraid that we cannot accept pets in either property.

Terms and Conditions of hiring Scorrier House. (House) and the (Client)
The house agrees to rent the following rooms to the Client. Outer Hall, Grand Hall, Drawing Room, Conservatory, Blue Room, Kitchen Preparation Room, Grounds and Gardens surrounding the House and Guest Bedroom Suite. Due the Historic Nature of this Grade 2 listed house there are some rules to maintain its fabric. We would be grateful if you could find time to read this.
1 If the Event is booked within a year the client will pay 25% of the facility fee on booking and a further 25 % six months before. If the Event is booked more than a year ahead 10% is required on booking, a further 15% a year beforehand and a further 25% six months before. If the Event is booked within six months 50% is payable on booking. In all cases the booking cannot be confirmed until the deposits has been paid. As far as payment is concerned you can pay by Credit or Debt card (there will be a surcharge of 1.75% for Credit cards but no extra charge for Debit cards), direct transfer in to our bank we will happily give our bank details or by cheque. We would prefer not to be paid in cash. The House reserves the right to alter prices at any time (this will not effect confirmed bookings).
2. The balance 50% in all cases has to be paid at least one month before if it is not paid by the due date the house has the right to cancel the booking.
3. If the Event is cancelled by the client the deposit will be forfeited in full. However the House will try to relet the day cancelled. If it is successful in reletting the day the deposit will be returned less any expenses incurred. If the Wedding is postponed the House will honour the booking. If that is the case in all our interests we would like to know as soon as possible. If there is any price difference in the meantime the client will be liable for that in addition.
4. The opening and closing times for the house and grounds are up until 6.30pm the day before the Event.
From 8am on the day of the Event.
From 9am until 12noon the day after.
After these times the House and grounds will be closed. Please make sure your contractors are aware of this. If this is inconvenient please get in touch with us
5.Clients will be responsible for any damage caused by their Guests. The House also accepts no responsibility for any damage or any losses to Guests property however caused.
6. Florists string is the only material to be used on the Bannisters. No sticky tape, wire glue, glue tack or cable ties to be used anywhere in the House. Candles can only be used on the tables.
7. All music and serving of drink must cease by Midnight and Guests should have left by about 12.30am. If clients wish to carry on after with the music after Midnight there will be a surcharge of £350 per hour or part. We would be grateful if they wish to continue after this time if they could give the advance House notice at least one months notice because under the terms of our licence we have to give the local council notice for any function that goes beyond midnight. This is laid out in statute. The surcharge includes any fees levied by them. This is a very simple procedure and straightforward procedure that House will arrange this for you if you want to carry on after midnight.
8. The House and Conservatory is covered by the law covering smoking in enclosed places. However smoking is permitted in the Grounds and there are buckets placed outside the Conservatory and the front door.
9. The Swimming Pool Garden is only available for pre reception drinks but otherwise it will be locked. The client is totally responsible for guests in this respect due to the risks of Swimming Pools. Unfortunately we cannot allow swimming.
10. Fireworks may only be used by prior approval of the House and only by an approved Contractor who must have Insurance and we would require to see it before they set up. If you want to have Fireworks we would require at least ten days notice.
11. Hot Air balloons may not be used under any circumstances.
12. No confetti or metal stars are to be used either outside or inside or with the exception of Rose Petals that are bio degradable.
13. We would request that NO THIN OR SHARP POINTED HEELS to be warn as they severely damage the old wood floors. We would suggest putting a note in the invitations.
14. If any guests that may become drunk and unruly they will be asked to leave the premises.
15. The Client must ensure that the Caterers and Clients doing their own catering are responsible for clearing away all food, drink, catering utensils, hire equipment and rubbish at end of the night from the Main Rooms in the House. The Kitchen can be cleared either on the night or between 9am and 12noon the following day.
16. All empty bottles and rubbish must be removed from the House as we do not have the facilities to dispose of waste. The Caterer must be informed as such. If this is not convenient please get in touch with us.
17. The house will responsible for cleaning and clearing up the rooms after the Event.
18. All hire equipment must be removed the first working day following the event unless otherwise arranged with the house. If a marquee is being used it must be removed on the following day.
19. A list of suppliers is also enclosed and they all known to the House. However the house has no commercial ties to them and the list is regulary updated. The Client is free to use who they want whether they are on the list or not. The Suppliers are listed in no order of preference. However if you wish to have a Marquee company or Caterers who are not on the list we suggest that you get in touch with us because recently a couple of suppliers have fallen far short of the high standard that we expect.
20. Stable House and Butlers Cottage are available for your Guests use. Usually for as many nights as required. Full details can be found on the enclosed sheet.
21. Guests are welcome to leave their cars overnight in the Car Park at their own risk but not in front of the house.
22. If Clients are holding a Wedding Ceremony no Food or Drink is allowed to be served for one hour before. This is laid down in Statute and not by ourselves. Food and Drink can be served afterwards as normally.
23. The items that the house supplies are on the enclosed list.
24. Clients are free to buy their drink from whatever source they wish the House does not charge corkage.
Weddings
It is suggested that if possible bands should set up before the wedding commences. If the Bridge and Groom require use of the Guest Bedroom Suite, they will be issued with a key and the room should be kept locked throughout the event.House supplies
