Join us at Scorrier House for Mesmerado – a sophisticated evening of live music, dance, and dining at Scorrier House.

Across five luxurious hours you’ll move through different rooms of the house, each with its own mood and musical experience: opera in the Great Hall, jazz in the Drawing Room, and dancing late into the night.

An evening in three acts

Opera in the Great Hall · 6:30 – 7:15pm
Begin the night in Scorrier’s magnificent Great Hall with an intimate opera concert from singer Claudia Therése, accompanied by pianist Rico Gerber. Enjoy a selection of powerful and beloved arias, from Bizet and Verdi to the Gershwin brothers, performed in a setting that brings every note to life.

Tapas Buffet & Bar
After the concert, guests are invited to enjoy a tapas and snacks buffet by Genki Café, with vegan options available, alongside drinks from Scorrier House’s fully stocked bar (purchased separately).

Jazz in the Drawing Room · 7:45 – 8:45pm
The evening then moves into the Drawing Room, where Claudia Therése and pianist Anthony Trodd present a jazz concert by candlelight. Relax into the stylish surroundings as you listen to mesmerising jazz tunes in one of Cornwall’s most elegant spaces.

Learn, dance, and stay late

Modern Jive Dance Class · 9:00 – 9:45pm
Hosted by Claudia Therése and Gregor Candlin, this Modern Jive lesson is designed for beginners and improvers. You’ll learn fun, accessible steps and combinations to get you ready for the dance floor.

Freestyle Dancing · 9:45 – 11:30pm
Finish the night with a freestyle dance session to a carefully curated playlist. Whether you come with a partner or alone, you’ll be encouraged to mix, mingle, and change partners throughout the evening. Singles are very welcome.

Between dances, you’re free to explore the conservatory and gardens, and step outside to stroll under the stars.
