On Wednesday 29th July, Cornwall Drive In Cinema comes to Scorrier House with the award-winning war epic 1917. Make sure you have your tickets ready by ordering here.

Nestled in the grounds where the Great Estate Festival normally takes place, Scorrier House’s Drive In Cinema is one of Cornwall’s grandest settings to watch classics from the safety of your car.

More than a just drive-in cinema, though, we have an amazing line-up of local food, icecream, popcorn and a fully licensed bar (all operating safely within Covid-19 guidelines).

Scorrier House is near to Redruth and Truro and yet easily accessible from all of Cornwall. The cinema itself, however, is surrounded by the ancient woodlands and beautiful garden of the Scorrier Estate.

Directed, co-written, and produced by Sam Mendes, 1917 stars George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman, with Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch in supporting roles.

Since its recent release to UK audiences in December 2019, 1917 has won scores of awards, including Best Film at both the Critics’ Choice Awards and British Academy Film Awards.

1917’s award-winning cinematography and visual effects makes this film a must-see on the big screen.
