From 4 July 2020, small weddings are allowed to take place in England following the latest relaxing of coronavirus restrictions. As a wedding venue in Cornwall, Scorrier House has been given the “Good To Go” accreditation.

Our self-catering accommodation is now open for bookings. With additional cleaning measures in place we have been approved by Visit England’s “We’re Good To Go” kitemark.

In accordance with further relaxing of lockdown measures from 4 July, Scorrier House is now available for small weddings of up to 30 people.

With large indoor spaces and licensed for civil ceremonies, Scorrier House can host small weddings in complete accordance with the government’s coronavirus wedding guidance.

This limits wedding ceremonies to 30 people with social distancing in place. Fortunately, with large indoor spaces, we are able to accommodate wedding ceremonies of up to 30 people (which is less than 20 percent of our normal capacity).

Plus we have ample gardens for outdoor wedding ceremonies and the all-important wedding photos.

We have hand sanitizer stations at the ready and have redoubled our cleaning efforts, which will take place immediately before and after any event.

If you are thinking of planning a wedding this summer or beyond, we are also open for showings of the house and grounds (by prior appointment only). And we will happily help you plan any event in accordance with the latest Covid-19 measures.

Get married now, party later

As a wedding venue in Cornwall licensed for civil ceremonies we are offering couples the option to “get married now and party later”.

This means you can get married at Scorrier House this summer, but host your wedding reception to a later date.

Please get in touch with us for available dates and any other questions you might have about weddings in Cornwall post coronavirus.
